About MCPCognito

We believe AI agents should be tested, not trusted

Every agent workflow looks flawless in a demo. Production is where the edge cases live. We built MCPCognito so teams can design, simulate, and validate agent behavior before a single user hits a failure.

Our mission

Make agent reliability the default, not the afterthought.

Most teams test their agents in production — by watching users hit failures. We think that's backwards. MCPCognito gives teams the tools to design, simulate, validate, and audit every agent workflow before it ever touches a real user. No more guessing whether your agent will behave correctly at 3 AM.

What we believe

Four values that shape how we build

They're less marketing than working agreements - the things we come back to when we disagree.

01
Quality over churn

We don't ship until it survives real agent workflows. Every feature goes through the same testing, simulation, and validation pipeline we give our users.

02
Speed is a feature

Agent testing shouldn't take longer than building the agent. We optimize for fast feedback loops — simulate, validate, iterate, repeat.

03
Build in the open

We share what we learn about agent reliability — patterns, failure modes, and hard-won fixes. The best testing practices come from teams in the trenches.

04
Inclusive by default

Great tooling should work for everyone — from solo developers to enterprise teams. We design for clarity so every feature is approachable from day one.

Our story

A short history

A few moments along the way - from a single repo to teams around the world.

  1. 2025
    The idea

Born from a shared passion for developer tooling and AI, MCPCognito Workbench started with a simple goal — make testing and validating MCP servers easier, faster, and more reliable.

  2. Mid 2025
    Building the foundation

The first working foundation took shape, bringing MCP server connections, capability discovery, interactive testing, and essential developer workflows into one unified workbench.

  3. Late 2025
    Expanding the vision

The platform evolved beyond basic testing with reusable test cases, test suites, execution history, reporting, authentication, and workflows designed for real-world MCP development.

  4. 2026
    Intelligent testing

Agent Playground, protocol validation, benchmarking, multi-server workflows, and deeper observability transformed the workbench into a comprehensive MCP testing and quality platform.

  5. Today
    Built for what’s next

Today, two passionate technologists are refining MCPCognito Workbench for developers, AI engineers, teams, and organizations — preparing the platform for its next chapter and public launch.
